  • Gradually, the tumor grows and covers the entire submaxillary part, the lower neck and collarbone. The skin on this place turns red.
  • When examining the patient's mouth from the side of inflammationthe mucous membrane will be bright red and swollen. The body temperature increases, an average of 38 degrees. The patient loses appetite and gets apathy, sleep disturbances and constant fatigue.

If at the initial stage of the diseaseto eliminate the source of inflammation, then the lymphadenitis of the jaw disappears. But this happens rarely. More often the pain intensifies and acquires a shooting and drawing character. The temperature increases even more, and the skin on the affected area becomes claret and gradually turns blue, which indicates a gradual release of pus.

Sometimes it may be necessary for treatmentsurgical intervention. If only one node is inflamed, then where the swelling rises most, a notch is made, into which a drainage tube is inserted for purification from the pus. More often not one but not the whole group of nodes becomes inflamed. In this case, a submaxillary incision is made, and a tube for drainage is inserted, the wound itself is closed by means of special clips. Be sure to use antibiotics, under which almost all symptoms are eliminated, but after a couple of days after the end of the intake of inflammation can return.
