Renal edema appears

Renal edema have a different pathogenesis. Thus, in nephroses, which are characterized by proteinuria, that is, a significant release of protein in the urine, the main role is played by the depletion of plasma by the protein, as a result of which the oncotic blood pressure decreases and the liquid part of it begins to intensively enter the tissues. In nephritis, the main significance is sodium retention and, to a lesser extent, oncotic factors.
Renal edema primarily appears on the face (swollen eyelids, soft tissue under the eyes), then on the back of the hands.
Dystrophic edema occurs due to insufficient protein nutrition and the consequent hypoproteinemia leading to decrease in oncotic blood pressure. Inflammatory swelling seen aroundThe focus of inflammation (the so-called perifocal edema) is due to an increase in the permeability of capillary membranes. The same mechanism of allergic, toxic, angioedema and traumatic edema. Swelling of the pregnant woman develops either as a consequence of toxicosis, or as a result of compression of veins enlarged uterus. The type of tissues and organs with edema is varied. Edema on the skin appears primarily in areas of loose subcutaneous connective tissue, for example, on the skin of the eyelids, under the eyes, on the back of the hands, on the ankles, and then gradually spread to the entire body. The skin becomes pale, as if stretched, wrinkles and folds are smoothed out, the consistency of the skin becomes doughy, when pressing, the indentations do not disappear for a long time. When a skin is cut, a clear liquid is released. In the skin with edema, inflammatory processes easily occur.
