Edema of the legs after a shin fracture

Surgeon-phlebologist-lymphologist, surgeon of the first category

Hello! My grandfather had a fracture of the shank three months ago. After the removal of the gypsum, 2 months have passed, the shin does not bother, but for some reason the foot is swollen. X-rays and ultrasound of the veins do not show any abnormalities. Tell me, please, how should we be. Thankful in advance for the help.

Most likely it is a lymphatic edema. For a start, you can bandage your leg with elastic bandages from morning till night. The pressure bandage from the fingers to the knee should gradually weaken.
In routine order, consult a phlebologist or a lymphologist for full-time consultation and treatment.
