Inflammation and swelling of the foot
Hello!I'm 17 years old, 8 months ago my foot was swollen, doctors sent treatment to the joints, but it did not help, I recently made a vascular scan: a picture of the primary lymphoden and inflammation of the lymph nodes in the groin area (right side). The blood test showed an increase in lymphocytes and a neutrophil depression. I know, this indicates the presence of some kind of infection. Tell me what to do, what examination to pass, what is more important to get rid of (swelling or inflammation of the lymph node)? I'm only 17 years old, and already such problems.

Hello! The diagnosis of "primary lymphedema" is questionable. This pathology is the result of congenital maldevelopment of the lymphatic capillaries. But in your case, it is possible that this is a secondary process. Secondary lymphadema is a consequence of a serious impairment of lymph circulation initially in the inflamed lymph nodes and then is already manifested by edema of the limb. The main causes of lymph flow disorders are: inflammation, surgery or trauma, irradiation, infiltration or parasites. In your case, you may need to look for gynecological problems and treat lymphadenitis. But self-treatment here, of course, is unacceptable. The process is quite serious. Be healthy!
