Swelling of the foot
Surgeon-phlebologist-lymphologist, surgeon of the first category
Hello, Elena Olegovna.
My name is Svetlana, I'm 26 years old. During the last month, there was edema on the right leg in the area of recovery. I did not notice this before. Puffiness increases with walking, and also by evening. When the leg swells strongly, then there is discomfort and tingling.
Tell me, please, with what it can be connected? What kind of diagnosis should I go through?
In advance thanks for the answer.
Svetlana, Moscow, Russia, 26 years old
You need to do Ultrasound Duplexscanning of veins. It will allow to evaluate the work of veins, the condition of the joints and the degree of actual edema. If lymphatic edema is suspected, lymphoscintigraphy can be done to confirm the diagnosis.
Sincerely, Elena Belyanina.
