Currently auxiliary survey methods occupy an important place inDiagnosis of cerebral edema. By the degree of informativeness they can be divided into reliable and presumable (Sh. Sh. Shamansurov et al. 1995).

To reliable signs of cerebral edema can include nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (NMR) tomography, CT and neurosonography (in newborns and children up to a year).

Presumptive methods include electroencephalography (EEG), Echo-EG, neurophthalmoscopy, cerebral angiography, brain scanning with radioactive isotopes, pneumo-encephalography.
